THE RULES

This is a pay-to-win leaderboard. It is not a metaphor and there is no clever twist coming. Money moves you up, and it moves somebody else off. Here is exactly how.

There are ten ranks. There will never be eleven.

Ranks #1 through #10. Each one has its own price and its own holder. They do not compete with each other and there is no pool you are bidding into.

Taking a rank removes a person. It does not demote them.

When you buy rank #4, whoever was holding rank #4 is out of the arena. Not moved to #5. Out. Nobody else on the board is affected, because there is no ladder to shuffle.

They land on the bench automatically, free, with your line attached to their listing for everyone to read. Nobody emails them about it. They find out the way everybody else does, by looking.

The price is whatever the last person paid, plus a dollar.

An empty rank costs $2. A held rank costs what its holder paid plus $1. That is the whole pricing model. It means a rank someone has been fighting over all day is expensive, and a rank nobody wants is two dollars.

Trash talk is mandatory.

You cannot take a rank without writing a line about it. Maximum 80 characters. It goes next to your listing, it goes in the feed permanently, and it stays attached to the product you removed for as long as this site exists.

If that makes you uncomfortable, the bench is $5 and requires nothing of you.

Shields buy you time, not safety.

Every takeover comes with 15 minutes of shield, free. You can buy more at checkout: $5 an hour, up to 4 hours.

A shielded rank can still be taken. It costs 3x the normal price, and that is the only way through. Shields do not make you safe, they make you expensive.

Nothing ever resets.

There is no nightly wipe and no seasons. A rank is yours until somebody pays to take it off you, whether that is in four minutes or four months. Prices only ever move in one direction.

Which means the interesting number stops being what you paid and starts being how long you lasted. Every product that has ever been ejected is listed in the record, ordered by exactly that. Anyone can buy a rank. Almost nobody keeps one.

The bench is the safe option and everybody can see that.

$5, once. Permanent, never expires, unstealable. No rank, no shield, no drama. It is listed under the arena, newest first, and there is no limit on how many listings it holds.

Two people can pay for the same rank at once. One of them loses.

Payments take a few seconds. In those seconds somebody else can buy the rank you are buying. When that happens the price has moved and your payment no longer covers it.

If you lose that race, your money buys you a permanent bench listing instead, and the rank goes to whoever was faster. You are told this on the checkout page before you pay, and you are being told it here too. It is not a refund.

No refunds when you get ejected. Ever.

You paid to hold a rank. You held it. Somebody paid more. That is not a fault in the product, that is the product.

The only refunds are for listings removed for breaking rule 10. Those get their money back and get to think about what they did.

Products only.

Four things get you removed, refunded and gone:

  • Slurs. Not profanity. Slurs. Swear all you like.
  • Targeting a person instead of a product. Beat the product.
  • Doxxing. No names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, handles.
  • Listing something that is not a real product at a real URL.

Trash talk is the point of the site. Being a bigot is not trash talk, it is just being a bigot, and it is a slower way to lose your money than buying a rank.

THAT IS ALL OF IT.

Ten ranks, one loser per purchase, nothing ever reset. Starts at $2 and only goes up.
